Sólo un par de cosas que leí en Cuatrochan.

Impressions from the pre-screening of the Gurren-Lagann movie. Brief because Gainax asked them to not make the full reveal until the actual release date is due in 6 days. Mostly talks about changes the new scenes.

- Prologue now features Genome fighting against the Anti-Spirals. Very intense animation.
-First eight episodes are now presented like a continuous struggle. They?re not as episodic. Kittan introduced differently. Rossiu is still the same but more foreboding and obviously much faster. Pink furry balls are still in the movie, but they?re not ?monster of the week? but rather just another. Episodes 4 and 6 are gone. Episodes 2 and 3 were mixed up. Episode 7 is almost gone, it?s now tied up with episode 8. Features very, very, few instances of new animation, mostly for Kittan and the sisters.
-Kamina dies right before middle of the movie. It?s exactly the same sequence.
-Nia is introduced slightly differently. Simon actually runs away in Gurren-Lagann after Kamina dies, he swears to kill all beast by himself until he loses control and the events of the show take place.
-After Yoko and Kittan arrive to rescue Simon and Nia, everything else is completely new. The only reused sequences were some of Nia confronting Adiane in episode 10. The film covers until Lord Genome?s death. It?s very well-animated and exciting, with more ship-to-ship battle to make the combats faster.
-Second half focuses on Simon, Nia and Yoko? specially when speaking of the most impressive sequences. Everyone else is sadly a background character. Kittan gets a new very cool scene, though. Cytomander barely lasts anything, but Adiane and Guame get slightly bigger roles? relatively speaking.
-A second film, Lagann Chapter will open in Spring 2009 and will cover the second half of the TV show. The writer describes this new movie as Simon and Nia's story. Lagann Chapter will have plenty of newly animated parts too, even more than Gurren Chapter.

Hubiera preferido que hicieran la película sobre algo que no nos hayan enseñado aún, en vez de ser un recopilatorio de la serie, pero bueno, las veré encantado igualmente. Tal vez la historia de Genome luchando contra los anti spirals hasta que al final no le quedó más remedio que quedarse controlando la población de la Tierra para preservarla.

Bueno, lo de la recopilación parecía una cosa clara... al menos pasa con muchas series... auqnue a veces acaba siendo mejor que la serie misma... (Cosa que no creo que sea para esta, porque es totalmente EPIC)

Si lo hacen a lo rebuild of Evangelion, lo mismo hasta mola y se deja ver.

Claro, que para eso, deberían pasar... 11 ó 12 años

De todas formas, por lo que cuentan en ese resumen, no es más que una readaptación para hacer en 2 películas toda la serie. Vamos, lo mismito que hizo Sunrise en su momento con Gundam y Z Gundam. Y como también he mencionado en mi primera comparación, lo que el mismo Gainax está haciendo con Evangelion.

Con perdón, pero menuda parida. Hacer una película que no aporta nada nuevo, no le encuentro el sentido.

De todas formas cuando salga/n la/s peli/s y AU la/s saque la/s veré .
